Ergonomic Mouse

hard3

The ergonomic mouse responds to several different problems and pathologies, preventing Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) in general and more particularly the development of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Placing the hand in a handshake position will align palm and forearm at the same level and direction preventing the bones of the forearm, the radius and ulna, to be twisted.
Objective is to reduce the unnecessary and repetitive muscle tensions in the everyday movement that may lead to discomfort or chronic injuries.

The ergonomic mouse responds to several different problems and pathologies, preventing Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) in general and more particularly the development of carpal tunnel syndrome.

  • Objective is to reduce the unnecessary and repetitive muscle tensions in the everyday movement that may lead to discomfort or chronic injuries.
  • Optimising everyday movements in order to be more efficient and productive.
  • Solutions seeking to develop the wellbeing at work, increasing in that way the quality of life at the workspace.
  • Avoid repetitive movements.
  • Avoid gripping the mouse as a tennis ball but rather using it as a tool. The movement of the mouse should be initiated from the elbow and not from the wrist as its extensions and twist are the cause of RSI.

By using verticality, the hand is placed in a handshake position where the carpal tunnel is not in contact with the desk surface. This position will eliminate and relieve the wrist from any frictions and compressions – forearm bones – ulna and radius are aligned and not twisted. In this way the user place the hand in a tension free position where hand muscles are solicited only when are needed to perform an action and the rest of the time rest on the mouse surface.
